King’s X is a pioneering American rock band known for their unique fusion of progressive metal, hard rock, and soulful harmonies. Formed in 1979, the power trio—Doug Pinnick (bass, vocals), Ty Tabor (guitar, vocals), and Jerry Gaskill (drums, vocals)—gained a cult following with their signature blend of heavy riffs, Beatles-esque melodies, and introspective lyrics. Their breakthrough album, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska (1989), remains a fan favorite, showcasing their innovative sound. With a career spanning over four decades, King’s X continues to influence generations of musicians and deliver electrifying live performances.
